The Small Grant Scheme for Refugee Support

The Small Grant Scheme for Refugee Support is funded by Powys County Council. 

The scheme is administered by Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations on behalf of the funders.

The Scheme will provide funds to enable voluntary sector groups and communities of interest to support the integration and settlement of refugees in the community, with activities during Refugees Week 2024 (17th June – 23rd June 2024  https://refugeeweek.org.uk/theme-2024-ourhome/) and the Jo Cox Big Get Together (21st – 23rd June 2024 https://www.jocoxfoundation.org/our-work/stronger-communities/great-get-together/).

Awards of £200 up to £1,000 are available for organisations that meet the eligibility and grant criteria. The total grant pot available is £5000.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Organisations applying for the grant must:

 

  1. Be supporting refugees within their local community

  2. Have a governing document 

  3. Have a bank account 

  4. Have a safeguarding policy and relevant insurances 

 

CRITERIA 

The fund will support activity that:

supports the integration and settlement of refugees in communities across Powys with activities during Refugees Week 2024 (17th June – 23rd June 2024) and the Jo Cox Big Get Together (21st – 23rd June 2024).
