Join the Wild Skills Wild Spaces nature and wellbeing project team at their spring networking event

The Wild Skills Wild Spaces nature and wellbeing project team are hosting a spring networking event for local health and social care organisations to find out how their project can benefit health care professionals and their patients and clients in north Powys

The event at Severn Farm Pond Nature Reserve in Welshpool on Wednesday 8th May, 11am-2pm, is designed to give partners at Powys Teaching Health Board and other organisations working in health and social care the opportunity to learn how the work of the Wild Skills Wild Spaces project can benefit health care professionals in north Powys.

Guest speakers at the event include Dom Higgins, Head of Health and Education for the Wildlife Trusts, talking about the importance of nature and climate on health and why it’s so vital to address inequality. And the Centre for Activity Wellbeing Research at Cardiff Metropolitan University, will explain how Wild Skills Wild Spaces fits within the Welsh Government’s new National Framework for Social Prescribing.

There will be light refreshments and an opportunity to meet the project team, longstanding volunteers, and participants who have benefited from the project.
