The Virtual Dementia Tour is the only scientifically and medically proven method of giving a person with a healthy brain the experience of what dementia might be like. Invented over 18 years ago in America the Virtual Dementia Tour has been experienced by over 2 million people in 17 countries and has been in the UK for over 5 years. Already the VDT has been adopted by 1700 care providers, 12 NHS trusts, Councils, Fire Service, Police, Prisons and many more and we are seeing the tour changing the lives of so many caring for people with dementia.
When a person with dementia is diagnosed we really need to support them by giving people around them a true understanding of the disease and although there are some amazing training courses available, it is very rare that they access them. The VDT is unlike any training course and actually gives them a window into their world.
