Lifemusic is an accessible form of community music-making aiming to promote creativity, inter-connectedness, and well-being.
Devised by composer, music therapist and author Dr Rod Paton, the approach is based on improvisation and involves playing music spontaneously.
The course is aimed at community workers, teachers, volunteers, mental health practitioners and creative professionals looking to complement and enhance their work with children, vulnerable individuals, older people with health challenges, and disadvantaged groups. No previous musical training or experience is required.
Commencing 31st January, the course consists of twelve two-hour Wednesday afternoon workshops, 4.30 - 6.30pm in the Creative Learning Room at y Gaer Museum in Brecon.
