Course Content:
Determine what the relevant Legislation and Best Practice Guidelines are and where to access them
Discuss the Chain of Infection and how infection can spread
Determine the importance of Standard Precautions including Hand Hygiene
Define the terms Infection, Colonisation and Carrier
List the precautions taken when dealing with - Laundry /Linen - Sharps Management - Cleaning & Waste
Discuss the importance of Personal plans and Risk Assessments
