Part 1 – Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility
1. Person-Centred Approach to Safeguarding
2. Understanding Your Roles and Responsibilities
3. Duty to Report, including Section 5 (concerns about a practitioner)
Part 2 – Recognising abuse and neglect
4. Types of abuse, neglect, harm and the indicators
5. Risk Factors (identifying the groups most vulnerable to abuse)
6. Potential Perpetrators (how/why do abuse and neglect happen?)
Part 3 – Prevention and Protection
7. Early Concerns
8. Establishing Concerns and Actions (including subjective factors that can influence decision-making)
9. Capacity to consent to safeguarding action
Part 4 – Making a Report
10. Effective Information - Recording & Sharing
