Join us for the launch of the National Safeguarding Learning and Development Standards.

On 14 November Julie Morgan AM will introduce the launch of Wales’ first National Safeguarding Learning and Development Standards.

Join us for the virtual launch event

The Deputy Minister will be joined by a panel of safeguarding experts from across Wales. The hour-long launch event will start at 10am. Hosted using Teams Live, the virtual event will be chaired by Jane Randall, Chair of the National Independent Safeguarding Board Wales.

The Standards will set out the expectations for knowledge, skills, attitudes and values for people working with adults and children who may be at risk of abuse, harm or neglect and represent a significant milestone in the development of safeguarding practice in Wales.

The Chair will lead a panel of safeguarding leads from the statutory and voluntary sectors in discussion about how the safeguarding standards will improve practice.

Lance Carver, Chair of the Wales Safeguarding Procedures Board and Director of Social Services for the Vale of Glamorgan Council, will also speak to introduce the standards.

Register now to be part of the launch of Wales’ first ever national safeguarding learning and development standards.
