Invitation to a Disability Confident Roundtable Meeting

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Disability Confident Scheme supports employers to make the most of the talents disabled people can bring to the workplace.

Positive steps are being taken here in Wales to promote the Disability Confident Scheme, but we know more can be done to increase the number of employers in becoming Disability Confident, and those progressing through the scheme. The feedback from Welsh stakeholders has been welcomed by DWP in establishing what more can be done in Wales, and they are keen to open this discussion up further.

As a result, officials within the DWP have kindly offered to run two sessions on Thursday 18 March, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

You are invited to this virtual stakeholder roundtable meeting to discuss the aims and ambitions of the Disability Confident scheme.

The session will be facilitated by the DWP Disability Confident Policy Team: Amanda Wadsworth MBE DL and Julie-Ann Williams. You will be provided with an opportunity to ask questions and make suggestions on ways that the scheme can operate in the future.

If you wish to attend please respond to Eryl Loring by Friday 12 March, indicating your availability for the two sessions. Please feel free to share this invite with wider partners who may wish to attend.

Once final numbers have been established  a Teams meeting link will be issued.
