Course Content:
- Determine what the relevant Legislation and Best Practice Guidelines are and where to access them.
- Discuss the Chain of Infection and how infection can spread.
- Determine the importance of Standard Precautions including Hand Hygiene.
- Define the terms Infection, Colonisation and Carrier.
- List the precautions taken when dealing with - Laundry /Linen - Sharps Management - Cleaning & Waste.
- Discuss the importance of Personal plans and Risk Assessments.
