Hate Crime Awareness Week raises awareness of Hate Crime and those that are affected – in the last recording period, Wales saw an overall increase of 35% in Hate Crimes. This year more than ever it’s important that we come together in Wales to raise awareness of Hate Crime and supporting services, and engage people of all walks of like in conversation.
We’d like to invite you to a virtual Hate Crime Awareness Week session in your area where we’ll share:
- The background to Hate Crime Awareness Week
- What’s being planned for the week so far
- What we’re doing to support organisations and grass root groups this year
- The Hate Hurts Wales Campaign
- The new ‘It Starts With Us’ Allyship awareness raising programme
The sessions are for one hour and will be held on Thursday 7th September at 1pm and Thursday 14th September at 1pm.
