The course will include full demonstration and an opportunity to try peening, mowing, sharpening, raking and making a traditional hayrack. Throughout the day we will discuss how to manage a traditional hay meadow and how this can be recreated in small plots/ gardens. This is a free course and will run from 10am until 4pm. There will also be the opportunity to buy your own scythe set on the day. This course is available to anyone over the age of 18. Please let us know if you have any specific requirements before the course date. We welcome people of all abilities and will ensure everyone has a fun and relaxed day. Attendees will need to bring a packed lunch, some sturdy footwear and wet-weather gear.
