You are invited to a series of online Zoom webinars, hosted by EYST in partnership with five delivery partners; TGP Cymru, Newport MIND, Citizens Advice Cymru, Settled and Newfields Law. The sessions are open to public facing frontline staff working with a professional interest in supporting EU citizens, aimed at informing attendees about the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS), issues relating to it, as well as routes to access tailored support which will enable them to signpost and refer clients to the appropriate service for their needs.
Citizens of the EU, European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, and their family members who want to stay in the UK beyond 31 December 2020 will usually need to apply to the UK Government’s EU Settlement Scheme.
EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and their family members who have been continuously resident in the UK for five years for any period until the end of 31 December 2020 may apply for settled status. Obtaining settled status will secure rights to live, work, study and access benefits and/or services in the UK. Those who do not have continuous residency of five years will be eligible for pre-settled status. Only one day’s proof of residency in the UK in the last 6 months is needed for pre-settled status.
The information sessions will have the following structure: a presentation on the EUSS, which will include each partner introducing their organisation and detailing the services they offer, and finally a chance to discuss any specific issues through an open Q&A session.

30 minutes Presentation on the EUSS: ‘What is the EUSS & how to apply’
