The event – called Connections and Companions – will be held via Zoom on March 25th. Participants will all join together for a short welcome then break into smaller groups of 4, changing the people they interact with every 10 minutes. There will be a facilitator in each room for safeguarding as well as to provide discreet prompts to keep the conversation moving if the participants are not feeling talkative.
Hopefully this will be the first of many events to increase the social interaction of people in rural mid Wales who may not have as many opportunities to meet new people.
Please see the attached poster, and share among any contacts who can reach adults with learning disabilities or autism who may welcome the opportunity to chat, exchange ideas and opinions and hopefully make new connections.
