The training will empower carers to use their voice to speak about their lived experience and speak on behalf of the people they care for, at a local, regional, and national level.
Please circulate this training to any carers involved in strategy groups, panels/forums or similar, or to colleagues who engage with carers. We have attached bilingual posters to which can be used for promotion.
The training will be held online and will be applicable to working with organisations of all types, covering how to understand policy developments related to carers and how to be persuasive in meetings.
It is suitable both for those carers already engaged in co-production and those who have not had the opportunity to do so yet. The training is only open to unpaid carers, not those in a professional capacity.
