The Brecon support group will meet monthly at a new venue: Subud Hall (Canal Bank, Brecon, Powys, LD3 7HH) - Brecon Subud Hall – Subud Britain, dates as noted below. We’ll be using their main hall space for both our monthly support group and new weekly yoga sessions so we can still ensure social distancing. Both groups are free to attend, and are open to anyone living locally who has arthritis, a MSK or related condition e.g. fibromyalgia, hypermobility, lupus.
Support group - From Wed., April 20th and continuing on every 3rd Wednesday of the month (2-3:30pm).
Activity group (seated yoga sessions) – Weekly from Wed., April 27th (2-3pm), except on support group weeks. These will be led by Ruth Cook, who is a trained yoga instructor.
In keeping with Versus Arthritis COVID guidelines re meeting indoors, for the moment we will continue to ask everyone to:
- Wear a mask throughout the support group session (unless you are exempt) or we are doing exercise.
· Masks don’t need to be worn during the yoga sessions.
· Take a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) before attending the sessions, if possible.
Further to this, we will:
· Complete a risk assessment on each venue.
· Have hand sanitiser and extra masks available.
· Set the room up so that we can maintain 2m distance between attendees.
· Have a Track and Trace register and info cards, if someone should test positive for COVID and we need to let the group know.
· We aren’t able to provide refreshments but you are welcome to bring your own drink (with lid), if you would like to.
