Great news for Celf o Gwmpas.

We're delighted to be able to share that Celf O Gwmpass have secured significant funding to further their great work supporting health and wellbeing through the arts in Powys.

Please see the update from Paul Jays, Celf Trustee below.

" I am pleased to confirm that Celf has been offered a £83k grant from the Community Lottery Fund to be spent over two years. This funding will provide a good platform towards  enabling us to achieve the objectives of the first two years of our business plan, althoughcontinuing active fundraising  will be vital.

Our basic objectives are to sustain our very successful  projects within the health and wellbeing sector but to be able to extend and develop our projects tomeet a wider range of need in different ways..

Our key project areas will be with children and families, people with learning difficulties and people with dementia. We will also build upon our partnership working with other statutory and third sector agencies to achieve ourobjectives..

The contribution towards some of our core costs will enable us to give some stability of employment to our existing hard working staff team and be able to bring in an additional post to mange and support our developing programme of activities. The grant will also support the continuation of Centre Celf as an active Community Arts Centre, providing  support to artists  and a facility for other community groups and activities."
