‘Did you know that your local children’s hospice Hope House provides care after death for any child up to the age of 18 years who dies suddenly, whether that is through illness or accident.

'We are passionate about making sure all local services know this help is available, so that families are aware of it and can access it at what is undoubtedly the very worst time in their lives. Families tell us that the support of care after death at the hospice, in our special Snowflake Suites with the support of our bereavement team, makes such a difference to them. Tragically not every family gets to hear about this free, invaluable service.

Due to the nature of the service, we are very keen to make sure that the emergency services and services working with children have as much information on it as possible and our Community Engagement Officer Cat Edwards would be very happy to give a brief presentation on our care after death service and the difference it makes, either virtually or in person.’
