The key messages are:

• COVID-19 vaccination remains available for everyone aged 18 and over. Attend our drop-in sessions or use our Priority Access Form to get in touch.

• Invitations are being sent out to all 16-17 year olds in Powys. If anyone aged 16-17 in Powys does not receive their invitation by 20 August they will be able to use our Priority Access Form to let us know.

• Vaccination sessions are also under way for children aged 12-15 who are in the categories in the latest national guidance issued on 19 July. This includes children aged 12-15 with serious neurodisabilities, Downs Syndrome, immunocompromised, or profound/complex learning disabilities. It also includes children in this age group who are household contacts of people who are immunocompromised.

• Planning is well under way for the booster programme. Local arrangements will be finalised once we receive national guidance, which we currently expect by the middle of September.

• Over 90% of people aged 18+ in Powys have received their first dose, and nearly 87% of people aged 18+ in Powys have received their second dose.
