"Her secondment to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is testament to her expertise, skills and experience, and reflects the confidence she inspires across the NHS and in Welsh Government for her leadership, care and compassion. I wish her every success in her interim role.

I am very grateful to Hayley Thomas, our current deputy chief executive, for agreeing to step in to the role of Chief Executive here at Powys Teaching Health Board on an interim basis. Many of you will know Hayley, and you will know her exceptional breadth and depth of experience, and the way in which she has exercised leadership in many executive areas to the benefit of this health board, the people of Powys and more widely across Wales.

But it is not just Carol and Hayley; we have a wider executive team and the whole organisation whose skills, abilities, expertise and knowledge we can rely on as we take forward our strategies and plans and as we continue to serve the people of Powys to the best of our ability.
