Eginiad Cymru's mission is to deliver free or low-cost wellbeing sessions online and in person and to offer bursaries and low-cost therapeutic support for those most in need.
Therapeutic Bursary
Eginiad have recently launched the latest round of their Therapeutic Bursary project. This local initiative provides affordable support for individuals living with chronic health conditions. This round of applications closes on the 2nd February and offers the following benefits:
The team includes skilled professionals offering acupuncture, massage, EMDR, psychotherapy, shiatsu, osteopathy, and hypnotherapy.
Therapists provide detailed explanations, tailored programs and additional exercises, while working within the ethical framework of their field.
Applicants receive six sessions with a therapist and make a small contribution of £5 or £10 per session.
Applications are means-tested, with bursaries awarded according to financial situation and health needs.
- They actively support individuals living with chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, PTSD, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and addictions.
The project has previously received excellent feedback, with notable benefits reported by both group attendees and individual bursary recipients.
These included improved well-being in physical and emotional health, improved pain management, tools for addressing trauma, and greater ease in people’s daily lives.
Therapists will generally be working from their own therapy rooms, in Machynlleth or Aberystwyth, or nearby villages. Some sessions will be delivered from Y Plas, Machynlleth on Wednesday mornings.

Community Dinners
Eginiad and Y Pantri are excited to announce the launch of their Community Dinners Project. This initiative, aimed at supporting individuals during the winter months, will help to ease the cost of living crisis by offering a free, hot, and nutritious meal every week.
Beyond providing meals, the project emphasises the importance of building connections and support networks. In collaboration with local partners such as the Taj Mahal Community Hub and Advice Mid Wales, Eginiad and Y Pantri aim to extend a warm welcome to everyone in the community.
The Community Dinners will begin on Thursday, January 18th, from 12-2pm at the Taj Mahal Community Hwb in Machynlleth and will continue every Thursday until April 25th (excluding school holidays).
This project reflects Eginiad’s commitment to building a stronger, more resilient community, and has been made possible with support from Bro Ddyfi Community Renewables and the National Lottery Awards for All grants.
