70+ Cymru is a Wales wide partnership project funded by the Energy Redress scheme. The post of Home Energy Officer is in place until at least the end of August 2022. The new officer for Powys is one of six Home Energy Officers across Wales co-ordinated by Care and Repair Cymru, who will provide advice and support for clients who are 70 and over - living in Powys - own their own home or are a private tenant.

The officers will help with home energy saving techniques and housing improvements so that people over 70 years old can heat their homes to over 70°F.
