Centre of Sight and Sound Newsletter and Update

JobSense is a 3 year project funded by WEFO delivered in partnership with  Centre of Sign-Sight-Sound (COS), Action on Hearing Loss Cymru and Elite Supported Employment Agency, currently operating across East Wales up to December 2021.

WEFO have changed how they define potential  JobSense participants “economically inactive” status by omitting mentions to a specific time period.  It allows COS more flexibility with who they can engage onto the project. COS have spoken to WEFO at length regarding the interpretation of economically inactive and it does mean that they can engage participants who have recently found themselves out of work (for example, redundancy due to COVID-19) regardless of the benefits they are claiming if the barriers that they face, demonstrate that they could not search for work or start work without support from the project.

If you have any queries or questions about the project please do not hesitate to contact
