The Balance Programme aims to improve emotional wellbeing and includes sessions on:
- Staying well
- Self-care
- Mindful living
- Sharing experiences and support
The latest online course (delivered over Microsoft Teams) begins on Wednesday 26 April, 9.30-11.30am, with further sessions, at the same time, on 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 May, and on 7 and 14 June.

If you don’t have the time to attend an eight-week course, staff and volunteers working in the health and social care sector can also attend a one-off, three-hour, free Harmony and Balance Session (for up to eight participants) over Microsoft Teams. The next available dates for these are Wednesday 31 May, 1.30-4.30pm, and Wednesday 26 July, 9.30am-12.30pm.
This includes an introduction to self-care and self-compassion tools, resources and skills, and to positive psychology and the ‘art of gratitude’, with the aim of “restoring balance and harmony and living with more ease”.

This work is being funded by the Powys Regional Partnership Board, which is made up of a range of public bodies and other representatives, including Powys County Council, Powys Teaching Health Board and Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO), who are working together to improve the health and wellbeing of the county’s residents. This includes helping to look after those who deliver health and care services to others.
