Last year we collated a Powys wide guide to events being held at Christmas to support people who were lonely or isolated in our communities. That information was then shared with our networks and people in those communities. It was great to have a Powys picture of the support being offered. The kindness and generosity of our communities was truly heartwarming.

It is without a doubt that this year presents some challenges and we are aware that this Christmas will be very different to previous years. It would be helpful to know if your organisation or community group are planning to organise a Christmas meal or event. This could be organising a meal or event for people, or food taken to people’s homes.

Some organisations and businesses would like to make donations to organisations providing community services at Christmas.We’re keen to know about, support and promote, any Christmas gift donation schemes you might be organising, such as the shoebox scheme for local children in Llandrindod, the Community Dreams selection box donations in Ystradgynlais, or the December to Remember Crowdfunder appeal.
