Well-being in Powys

The Well-being assessment is something that we must do as part of the Future Generations (Wales) Act.

It helps us to understand the current situation as well as ensure we plan for the future.

The assessment looks at four themes:

  • Social
  • Economy
  • Environment
  • Culture and community

As a Public Service Board (PSB), we have gathered data from a variety of sources, conducted a Living in Powys survey and used many other engagement sources to get a good understanding of people’s well-being needs across the county.

We have identified 18 areas of focus that are intrinsic to well-being, which are all featured in our assessment.

All this information has resulted in a detailed and comprehensive assessment of well-being in Powys.

This draft assessment has now been published on the Have Your Say page and we would like as many residents, of all ages, to engage and help us understand what well-being means to them.

Here is a link to the document and we would appreciate it if you could complete the short survey.

Please can you share the draft assessment with your relevant stakeholders to ensure that we reach as many residents, partners, third sector organisations, as well as town and community councils.

This will help us have a good understanding of well-being across our county and ensure we have a Well-being plan that is focused on the right things.
