The Welsh Government’s National VAWDASV Strategy is committed to increasing the focus on holding those who commit abuse to account and supporting those who may carry out abusive or violent behaviour to change their behaviour and avoid offending.
To help support this commitment, the Tackling Perpetration workstream within the VAWDASV Blueprint is launching an all-Wales mapping survey which seeks to understand current provision of interventions and services working with domestic abuse and sexual violence perpetrators and those displaying harmful behaviours to manage or reduce risk of harm.
The survey will close on February 2nd 2024.
The scope of the survey is wide and ranges from early intervention and prevention through to the criminal justice system. The information captured in the mapping exercise will form the basis of a directory of interventions and services across Wales. Completing this survey provides an opportunity to include your intervention or service in the directory, subject to assurances concerning safety and suitability.
Who do they want to hear from:
All agencies who are providing services for any person who has used, or currently uses harm in their intimate relationships. They also want to hear from all agencies who provide services in the primary prevention and education awareness landscape.
They want to hear from services working in education, awareness, and prevention, right through to behaviour change in community groups and statutory services
A Ministerial Foreword with guidance on the survey is attached below and they encourage you to familiarise yourself with this document for further context on the purpose and audience of the survey and practical information on what is required to complete it.
Please note, once you begin the survey you will be unable to save the answers and return to it later.
