UK Government National Resilience Strategy

UK Government has recently launched a consultation on a planned National Resilience Strategy (NRS) to enhance the level of resilience across the UK.

Consultation

The consultation documentation discusses the role of volunteering and the voluntary sector in achieving UK-wide resilience. For more information, visit the consultation page here, and read the full document here.

WCVA

WCVA intends to respond to this consultation. Although volunteering in Wales falls under the remit of Welsh Government under the Third Sector Scheme, as a UK-wide Strategy, it is important for Welsh voluntary sector organisations to have their say on this subject. This will help UK Government understand more about the Welsh volunteering context and the issues Wales faces in community resilience and emergency planning. WCVA is keen to hear from as wide a range of sector voices to present as wide-ranging and cohesive a response as possible, so invite you to consider the consultation document and the questions further down the page, and send your thoughts and evidence for consideration in our response.
