Participants needed for research study.

Please see the request below for support with rsearch.

" My name is Catherine Launder, and I am a PhD student with the Centre for Innovative Ageing (CIA), College of Human and Health Sciences, at Swansea University.  My PhD is funded by Health and Care Research Wales and my supervisors are Professor Vanessa Burholt and Dr. Deborah Morgan, from the CIA.

The title of my PhD is: Transitions in Care: Information needs concerning the discharge from hospital of an older person

My research is exploring the information expectations and needs of older people being discharged from hospital and those of their carers.  The study has received ethical approval from the College of Human and Health Sciences.  I am interviewing:

  • people aged 65 and over who have been discharged from hospital in Wales within the previous 18 months
  • kin / non-kin carers of people like those above

I am promoting the study with my recruitment advertisement, assisted by groups and organisations, including carers’ organisations and dementia research interest groups.
I hope that your organisation will agree to promote my study via your Twitter account, Facebook page, and any regular newsletter, if applicable.  In the context of the Covid pandemic, this area of research appears to be more important than ever, and I would very much appreciate your help."
