The report analyses the current social care system and offers suggestions for change including: making the system more supportive, humane and inclusive; ensuring families’ needs are met early; improving legal representation in family courts; better support in care proceedings; a better response to domestic violence; and statutory guidance to address the specific needs of disabled children and their families.
