What is the Active Offer?
The Active Offer is providing a service in Welsh without someone having to ask for it.Service users don’t usually realise that they can ask to recieve their services in Welsh, so the active offer gives reassurance and enables any service users that want/need their services in Welsh can have their preference granted.
It’s also got to do with compliance of Welsh language legislation – the Welsh Language Measure (Wales) 2011
How do we approach the active offer?
Through Welsh awareness, understand what the language and the culture means to individuals.
Step by step! It’s important that organisations and individuals know that it’s a process and doesn’t happen overnight.
