PAVO runs a number of training courses to develop, advise and support ALL voluntary groups and organisations in Powys. This season have we three exciting programmes on offer!
Being a committee member is a big responsibility. Make sure you are aware of your legal obligations and how to be an effective guardian for your organisation’s future.
To be a ‘safe pair of hands’ for your community group or charity, you need to know both the extent of your responsibilities and the limits of your powers. Our experienced trainers will cover the legal basis of your role as a trustee and also highlight the key areas – including finances, safeguarding, health & safety and conflict of interest – that all trustees need to be aware of.
By the end of this session you will have a better understanding of your responsibilities and liabilities as a trustee or committee member. You will also have an overview of the legal basis of the organisation that you serve.
This course is for existing and new committee members and anyone who is thinking of becoming a trustee or committee member of a local community group, charity, or voluntary organisation.
PLEASE NOTE: This course is fully subsidised by our funders so there is no charge. However, places are limited so reserve your place now by calling Alison on 01597 822 191
