A free, half-day session for volunteers, staff and carers covering the key aspects of safeguarding best practice, based on the All Wales Basic Safeguarding Awareness Training programme.

By the end of this course you will:

Understand the principles and values behind effective safeguarding

Know how to recognise different types of harm, abuse and neglect in children, young people and adults

Understand your own role in relation to safeguarding children, young people and adults

Understand the procedures and referral routes for protecting people at risk from harm, abuse and neglect

Be up-to-date with relevant policies on safeguarding

For volunteers, staff or carers responsible for the welfare of adults & children.
