The Heart of Wales Line (HOWL) Community Rail Partnership

The Heart of Wales Line (HOWL) Community Rail Partnership are pleased to announce a new Community Grant Scheme open to community groups, charities, or CICs based within 6 miles of a station on the line. Through the scheme criteria, we want to support organisations who deliver services or projects that will:

  • Bring communities together

  • Provide a voice to communities

  • Reduce the impact of the cost of living crisis

There are grants of up to £500 available for organisations.

If you have a compelling vision, an innovative idea or a cause that requires funding to support communities on the line then we want to hear your idea. We feel that most community organisations can show that their work promotes social and economic development, provides a voice for communities and brings communities together so try to show this in your application. If you can demonstrate a commitment to promoting sustainable travel this will also help your application.

The deadline for applications is the 27th November at 5pm. You can download the application form and guidance here.  Application Form
