Grants of up to £1,000 are available to young people aged 14-25 across the United Kingdom to enable them to trial their entrepreneurial venture, community project or social enterprise ideas

o Application deadline: THURSDAY 31st AUGUST 2023. An online Information session has been scheduled for Wednesday 19th July 2023 between 5pm and 6.30pm for those who would like to find more out about the programme. A link to registration is provided at the foot of the article below.

o Funder: Unloc Online (Unloc is an education not-for-profit founded in 2013 by award-winning young leaders and advocates Hayden Taylor and Ben Dowling. Its mission is to “empower young people to be innovative changemakers who seek to build stronger communities and sustainable businesses. We develop young people’s skills, enhance their potential and boost their determination to succeed.”).

o Who can apply: young people across the UK aged 14-25.

The Unloc Changemaker Alliance is a growing network of leading businesses who share Unloc’s vision of supporting every young person to achieve their true potential.

The Alliance’s Young Changemaker Grants scheme will support young people aged 14-25 in the UK with small seed funding grants of up to £1,000 so that they can try out an entrepreneurial venture, community project or social enterprise ideas.


Applicants should be:

o Aged 14-25 at the time of applying.
o Have permanent residency in the United Kingdom, 
and
o Have an idea for a community project that will make a positive difference to a community or a business idea that needs support to launch.

Applications will be assessed against the following criteria:

o How credible the plan behind your community project or business idea is.
o The difference or impact your project or venture will make to other people’s lives, 
and
o How realistic and deliverable the project budget is.

To apply, applicants should:

1. Complete the simple application form on the Unloc website (scroll down to the foot of the page).
2. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis up to 
Thursday 31st August 2023.
3. Applications will be reviewed every 6 weeks by Unloc's grants panel.
