The Ward Blenkinsop Trust is an established family-based grant-making Trust, founded in 1972, that regularly awards grants totalling around £100,000 each year.

Small grants are normally awarded to UK registered charities and voluntary organisations working in the following fields:

o Advancement of health and the saving of lives.
o Arts, culture, heritage and science.
o Education and training,
and
o General charitable purposes.

The Trust does not have a website or list grant recipients in its annual accounts, which are concise and provide limited information about its aims, achievements and ambitions.

Historically, awards suggest a preference for Merseyside and the surrounding area. Requests for grant support from other areas of the United Kingdom are also considered. Applications from England and Wales appear more likely to be viewed favourably.

Previously grants have been awarded to:

o Hope HIV.
o George Martin Music Foundation.
o Breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk,
and
o CLOD Ensemble

Grants are not awarded to individuals.

Applications may be made at any time in writing.
