The Foundation tends to support world-leading organisations in the areas of the conservation of paintings and works of art, research projects with a focus on medieval art, the theatre and playwriting,

The Ruddock Foundation is a family-based grant-making charity with its registered office in London. The Trust was established by a Trust Deed dated 12 January 2010 and registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales on 10 March 2010. The Foundation’s focus is on supporting research, conservation and displays in museums as well as supporting the work of non-commercial theatres. The vast majority of its grants are to institutions or charities that are world leaders in their respective fields.

The Foundation’s grant-making tends to narrow down to the following 3 areas:

1. Institutions which look after and conserve paintings and works of art.
2. Research projects with a focus on medieval art, 
and
3. Theatre and playwriting.

Its focus remains on supporting research, conservation and display in museums as well as supporting the work of non-commercial theatres. The vast majority of the grants are to institutions or charities that are world leaders in their respective fields.

The trustees meet twice a year to consider grant applications.
