The focus of the Postcode Innovation Trust’s £3 million Dream Fund for 2022-2024 will be projects that are looking to deliver systemic change in the following funding categories:
1. Environment/conservation.
2. Social inequality, and
3. COVID-19 pandemic recovery.
Charitable organisations in Great Britain can apply for a grant of between £500,000 and £1 million for an innovative, impactful and collaborative project which should be delivered over a 24-36-month period (i.e. 2022-2024).
The Dream Fund is providing an online Innovation Toolkit this year to help applicants develop original, impactful and innovative projects. The Toolkit contains tools applicants can use to:
o Identify the problem you want to solve.
o Understand your audience and their needs, and
o Develop and build ideas.
A further page on the Dream Fund’s website also provides advice from former winners.
The Dream Fund has a three-stage application process:
(1) Stage 1 - applicants submit their proposal through a simple online application form. Applicants provide the following details:
o A brief description of the organisations who are partnering.
o A project description.
o Details of why the project is a ‘dream’ project, and
o The amount of funding requested.
(2) Stage 2 - the most impressive, exciting and original projects will then be shortlisted and asked to apply via a more detailed application form.
(3) Stage 3 - Stage 2 applicants will then be shortlisted again and the very best entries will be asked to attend our offices in Edinburgh to give a formal presentation on their project to the Dream Fund Assessment Panel.
Please check the Postcode Dream Fund website for further details about the 2022-2024 programme, including the application deadline, which should be posted on the website once the programme has opened to applications on Friday 1 October 2021.
