THE LISA ULLMAN TRAVELLING SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Small grants

Small grants, usually around £500, are available to UK-based movement and dance practitioners aged 18 and over to extend their knowledge and skills by travelling in the UK or abroad to attend a conference, pursue a research project or undertake a short course of study.

The Lisa Ullman Travelling Scholarship Fund helps movement and dance practitioners to extend their knowledge and skills by travelling in the UK or abroad to attend a conference, pursue a research project or undertake a short course of study.

Applications are welcomed from UK residents aged over 18 irrespective of nationality, gender or previous training. Since 1987, the Fund has awarded over 500 travel scholarships worth up to £250,000 to help people to pursue an extraordinarily wide range of projects.

Grants are usually around £500-£600 for individuals working in music and dance. Choreographers, performers, lecturers/teachers, writers and therapists may apply.

The Fund opened in November 2022 and has an application deadline of Sunday 15th January 2023.
