THE FORE TRUST (also known as THE FORE, part of the BULLDOG TRUST)

Grants of up to £30,000 over 3 years are available to smaller registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs) and Community Benefit Societies to transform their impact by unlocking exponential growth, sustainability, efficiency or create some other major step forward. The Trust particularly encourages applications from smaller organisations working with marginalised groups and led by people in the community that may have found it hard to access trust and foundation funding in the past

__________

o Application deadline: The Fore will open its Spring 2023 funding round to applications at 10am on Monday 12th December 2022 and is open on a ‘first come’ basis until its application cap has been reached, which is often within 2-3 hours of the scheme opening for registration.

o Who can apply: any UK registered charity, CIC, CIO or Community Benefit Society with an income of under £500,000 in their last completed financial year.

The Fore Trust ("The Fore") offers unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 spread over 1-3 years which have the potential to have a transformational impact on an organisation. Unlike many funders, The Fore does not fund project-based work, but looks to make grants that will strengthen organisations for the longer term. Funding might, for example, help organisations:

o Grow or scale up their work.
o Increase their internal capacity.
o Serve new beneficiary groups,
or
o Become more sustainable and efficient.

The Fore particularly encourages applications from small organisations working with marginalised groups and led by people in the community that may have found it hard to access Trust and Foundation funding in the past.  The Trust’s funding process is specifically designed to level the playing field and give no advantage to those with fundraising experience or connections.

Grants of up to £30,000 over 3 years are available, with no matched funding requirement, to any UK registered charity, CIC, CIO or Community Benefit Society with an income of under £500,000 during their last completed financial year.

To apply for funding, organisations must first register some basic contact details with the Trust. This can be done via a link which appears below the webinar video on its website when the funding round is open. Please note that you cannot see the link if registration is closed.

The number of registrations accepted for each round is capped to ensure the Trust is able to give every application the attention it deserves.

Registration is operated on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Once the cap is reached, the round is closed, so please register early. Registration opens at 10am on Monday 12th December 2022 and is likely to close within 2-3 hours of opening. The Trust advises applicants to wait until they have successfully registered before preparing an application document. Applicants are given 3-4 weeks to do this between registration and the application deadline.
