Gloucester-based Ansvar Insurance, which specialises in charity, not-for-profit and faith insurance, has earmarked a £135,000 grant budget under the heading of the Ansvar Donations Programme to enable the promotion of healthy lifestyles among children and young people in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Applications should be for a specific project which should run from January 2022 to December 2024. Applications can be for a completely new project or to take an existing project into a new phase. Examples of eligible project could include, for example (please note this is not an exclusive list):
o Education on the effects on drugs and alcohol.
o Promote exercise, mental wellbeing or healthy eating, and/or
o Promoting responsible and safe choices.
Three charities will be awarded grants of £15,000 a year for three years, with each award totalling £45,000. There is no matched funding requirement.
To apply, applicants should submit an email of around 500 words to donation.programme(at)ansvar.co.uk detailing how they plan to use the money and how this will benefit children and young people.

The deadline for applications is 11:59 on Friday 12 November 2021, with the 3 successful applicants expected to be notified by the start of December 2021. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.
