TESCO FOOTIE FOR ALL FUND – Grants of up to £1,000

Grants of up to £1,000 are available across the UK to support grassroots football clubs with a focus on supporting children and young people up to the age of 18 to access sport and physical activity and/or providing more equipment and opportunities.

The Tesco Footie for All Fund is using its Tesco’s Stronger Starts grants for healthy food and activities for children across the UK to support the Footie for All campaign.

Tesco plc will be providing £150,000 in grants to grassroots football clubs across the UK as well as raising awareness of the importance of children having opportunities to thrive through opportunities for more physical and mental wellbeing.

Grants of up to £1,000 are available to support constituted grassroots football clubs across the UK with a priority on supporting children and young people up to the age of 18 to access sport and physical activity and/or providing more equipment and opportunity for children. There is no matched funding requirement.

Please note that all applying clubs must have a set of rules and an up-to-date and robust safeguarding policy.

Grants can be used to assist clubs in areas such as (please note that this is not an exclusive list):

o Buying new kit.
o Improving facilities, 
and
o Purchasing equipment

However, the Fund is willing to consider any proposal that will enable children and young people to access and participate in football within their local community.

Funding is not available for:

o Activities which collect funds for redistribution to other charities or individuals.
o Community Interest Companies with guarantee that are less than two years old.
o Community Interest Companies with shares (CICs).
o Conferences or seminars.
o Counselling and support services for children.
o Expeditions or overseas travel, including overseas tournaments.
o Food banks.
o Fundraising activities or challenges (eg costs for a skydive etc).
o Health bodies.
o Individuals.
o Overseas appeals.
o Parish/Town councils.
o Political donations.
o Profit-making organisations.
o Projects or activities that the state has a legal obligation to provide.
o Projects that work with people over 18.
o Promotion of a religious or political cause.
o Purchase of land.
o Research projects.
o School Breakfast clubs.
o schools, 
or
o Work that has already taken place.
