Is your community group in the Brecon Beacons National Park?  If so, have a look at these Sustainable Development Fund programmes open now! Both offer grants of up to £5,000 for up to 50% of total costs:

Energy Efficiency: support to install energy saving measures or renewable energy in community facilities.

Climate change is one of the most serious challenges we face, and we need to do all we can to reduce our use of fossil fuels. Relatively simple measures can help – draft proofing and upgrading windows and doors, thermostatic valves on radiators, insulation, LED lighting etc.  – and you’ll save on your bills too.

Heritage in Places: support forindividuals and community groups to undertake works to conserve and enhance local Heritage assets – these can include:

• Buildings - eligible works could include, painting building facades, external works to roofs, render repairs etc.
• Archaeological features - eligible works could include vegetation management, repair of damage, works to improve the aesthetic values of a site, enhance understanding or raise awareness of its significance etc.
• Interpretation - eligible works could include the provision of interpretation boards relating to historic features within settlements, signage for heritage walking trails, publications promoting heritage aspects of places.
