The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation are an independent UK wide charitable foundation. We aim to improve our natural world, secure a fairer future, and strengthen the bonds in communities in the UK. We do this by contributing all that they can to unlock change by people and organisations with brilliant ideas who share the same goals.  

We have launched Blue Spaces - Wales, and are looking to support ideas and projects that take an imaginative approach to engage people in protecting and restoring their local freshwaters (including rivers, streams, lakes, canals and ponds).  We are particularly interested in unusual alliances and partnerships working to improve freshwater habitats and work that has benefits for people and communities.

Esmée is offering grants of £10,000 to £60,000 to support organisations to develop their ideas. Applications are open from 21 March to 2 May.
