__________

Opening to applications on Wednesday 18th October 2023 with a deadline for applications of Sunday 31st December 2023, Cash4Clubs is a £200,000 grant budget that can provide an unrestricted small grant of 2,000 GBP/Euro to community sports clubs and organisations across the UK and Ireland. The Cash4Clubs scheme has given out sport grants to many deserving recipients in the past and is committed to funding even more sports clubs in the future.

Cash4Clubs is a small grants scheme for community sports clubs and organisations giving them a chance to apply for grants to:

o Improve facilities.
o Purchase new equipment.
o Gain coaching qualifications,
and
o Invest in the sustainability of their club.

Applications are welcomed from not-for-profit organisations, including charities, community groups and traditional sports clubs. To be eligible for funding, applicants must be either registered charities, Community Interest Companies or clubs with a structured governance and constitution.

Applicants must demonstrate that they are using sport for social purposes, for example (please note that this is not an exclusive list)::

o Addressing local issues such as crime and anti-social behaviour.
o Engaging people from under-represented groups,
or
o Targeting communities facing disadvantage.

In addition, applications that place a focus on the following are likely to be prioritised for grant support: community sports clubs and organisations who are in need due to

1. The impact of the coronavirus pandemic; and/or
2. The cost-of-living crisis and may therefore be threatened with closure.

Funding is not available for:

o Applications from schools and individuals.
o Costs associated with elite sport or talent development.
o Projects which are exclusively targeting young people under the age of 18,
or
o Trips abroad.

Further information, guidance, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and an application form is available on the Cash4Clubs website.

The application deadline is Sunday 31st December 2023. However, as a limited budget of £200,000 is available, we expect the Fund to be over-subscribed and therefore likely to close earlier than the end of year deadline. Early application is strongly advised for this Fund.

Successful applicants are expected to be notified by the end of January 2024.

The current round of Cash4Clubs grants is being managed by Sported UK, a UK wide charity promoting fairness and equity for young people through grassroots sport and physical activity
