PAVO AGM and Annual Conference

PAVO holds a major third sector conference each year. It offers an  opportunity for us all to meet and look together at important issues.

PAVO ANNUAL CONFERENCE & AGM 2021

15 - 19 November 2021
Our online Annual Conference and General Meeting this year, based on feedback from member organisations, provided an opportunity to participate in a wide range of workshops on topics important to you such as:

*  Community Buildings & Village Halls
*  Social Prescribing
*  Combating Loneliness & Socia Isolation
*  Training & Development Needs in the Third Sector
*  Powys Partnerships & How to get involved.

There was also 'Expert Sessions' led by
Mark Williams 'Circles of Care',
Baroness Jill Pitkeathley 'Caring for Carers'
and Major Chris Hunter QGM ‘Leadership Under Pressure’

The week culminated in our AGM on Friday 19th November at 9.30am with contributions from 

Baroness Eluned Morgan MS, Minister for Health & Social Care and Cllr Myfanwy Alexander In Praise of Powys Communities

PAVO Conference and AGM 2020 

Counting on Communities; developing the new normal

16 - 20 November 2020 - 

Our Annual Conference and General Meeting 2020 was held virtually and provided an opportunity to reflect upon the voluntary sector’s role in supporting people through the coronavirus pandemic, and how organisations were planning for the ‘new normal’.
The week consisted of a number of online workshops focusing on different aspects of developing the ‘new normal’:
A Green Recovery – (Buildings & Transport),  Financial Stability, Equalities, Safety, Digital, Social (volunteering), & Health & Wellbeing.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
The week culminated in our AGM on Friday 20th November 9.30am with messages from Vaughan Gething MS, Minister for Health & Social Care and Sophie Howe, Future Generations Commissioner.
