The Delamere Dairy Foundation, which was founded in 2020 and now in its 4th year of grant-making, is open to applications from registered charities and other organisations based in England, Scotland and Wales whose work benefits local communities, and whose purpose aligns with the Foundation’s key priorities of:

o The advancement of agriculture and environmental protection.
o The advancement in life of young people by developing their capabilities so that they may mature as contributory members of society.
o The relief of financial hardship.
o The advancement of education,
and
o The relief of sickness.

Grants of between £250 and £5,000 are available to charities and not-for-profit organisations in England, Scotland and Wales. Each eligible charity and organisation may apply once per calendar year.

In its inaugural year of grant-making in 2020, the Trust funded 10 organisations. During 2021, 20 organisations were awarded a grant. These are listed on page 3 of the Trust’s annual accounts, while a number of examples of funded projects are provided on Delamere’s website (scroll down to the foot the page).

So far, the Foundation’s grant-making has indicated a preference for supporting projects in Cheshire, Lancashire and Yorkshire. However, the number and geographic scope of charities supported appears to be increasing as the Foundation develops its grant-making portfolio.

Further information, guidance and a short online application form is available on the Foundation’s website.

The Fund opened to applications on Saturday 1st June 2024. A deadline for applications isn’t currently available (we advise eligible organisations to apply as soon as possible), but we’ll publish details as soon as the deadline is available.
