EMERGENCY COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND
There is some limited ICF Funds available to constituted Social Value Sector organisations and informal groups working in partnership with their local Social Value/Third Sector Organisation and/or Community Council to support essential / emergency response effort.
This funding will only be available for the first quarter period of 2020/2021 (April to June) but this may change as the situation progresses.
The funding is for emergency activity to support the following types of activity (not an exhaustive list)
Shopping for both the elderly, those in self isolation / quarantine and those key workers such as health and social care staff who may not have time to get what they need.
Collection and delivery of prescriptions
Helping people pay or sort their bills.
Driving, collection and delivery of items and equipment.
Befriending and helping to combat the inevitable loneliness and isolation that some people will feel over the coming months.
Collecting information to help inform the volunteer effort and identify the jobs that need doing
Supporting other charitable organisations to do much needed work such as food banks, meal and snack preparation etc.
Working with the homeless to ensure their needs are met and they stay safe.
A Total Fund of £37,000 is available, no upper or lower limits have been set for the amount requested.
The Community Service Emergency Response Group (C-SERT) will oversee the application and allocation process and will make decisions on the best use of the available resource, their decision will be final.
