CAB are worried that people aren't addressing their issues and that once lock-down has been relaxed people will then realise that their situations are much worse than they may have thought.
All CAB advisers and support staff are currently operating from home, providing a full service by telephone and are still working hard on behalf of all clients - new or existing.
CAB want to make sure that clients do not wait until all the current covid 19 concessions, put in place by the government are lifted, before contacting them for help with their debts or benefits issues. We need them to act now to avoid their situations becoming much more urgent and serious.
A lot of people are struggling with money, as incomes have dropped. CAB advisers can carry out full benefits checks, help with energy bills and rescheduling debt repayments amongst other subjects including relationship and consumer issues.
CAB have extended their 0345 601 8421 reception line opening times to Monday – Friday 9am -3pm to try to meet demand.
