Help the Homeless provides financial support for hostels, drop-in centres and similar services that are working to help homeless people rebuild their lives and return to society through training or residential facility provision. Please note that grants are for capital projects only and are not awarded for projects that merely offer shelter - projects must help individuals move towards a return to mainstream society
UK registered charities with an annual turnover of less than £1 million may apply for a capital grant of up to £5,000. There is no matched funding requirement.
Funding is not available for:
o Computers and IT equipment.
o Core costs.
o Individuals, or
o Revenue projects.
Applicants requiring funding for building work and refurbishment are advised to contact CRASH, a charity helping homelessness charities and hospices with vital construction projects.
Further information, guidance and a grant application form is available on the Help the Homeless website.
The next application deadline is Friday 15th December 2023. Application deadlines for 2024 are scheduled for:
o Friday 15th March.
o Saturday 15th June.
