Hafren Dyfrdwy have pledged to give £50,000 to support local charities and community groups within the HD region.

The Fund has grants of £2,000-£10,000 on offer, and is looking to support new projects with a link to improving community wellbeing through one or more of these three key themes:

• People: Projects that help people to lead a healthier life and gain new skills;
• Place: Ideas that help create better places to live in and use; and
• Environment: Schemes that will help look after the natural environment, give people greater access to that environment or help look after water.
